Our Mission
Right 2 Rhythm seeks to provide assistance to children who want to dance in one of three ways. Our events bring the community together to support this cause! To find out more about our events, click here. If you would like to help us out in our mission by making a donation, click here.
Scholarships to Individuals:
Right 2 Rhythm provides scholarships to individual children between the ages of 5-18, based on demonstrated need. Funds can be used to enroll in dance classes and/or instruction in any style of dance. Individuals fill out a scholarship application to apply in order to demonstrate their need, and to describe for what the funds are planned to be used. This furthers our mission by giving children direct access to dance instruction tailored specifically to their individual style, level, and needs.
Grants to School Districts:
Right 2 Rhythm provides grants to school districts to provide dance classes and/or instruction to the school district’s students where funding for the arts has been lost or diminished. This is done through the identification of target schools and the offer to pay for dance instruction to be brought into the schools as mini-courses or after school programs. This furthers our mission by supporting children to take dance lessons within their school environment.
Donations to Dance Non-Profit Organizations:
Right 2 Rhythm makes donations to other non-profit dance organizations which provide children access and exposure to dance. We recognized that there are many organizations out there supporting dance in the lives of children and we all need to work together to accomplish our mutual goals. This furthers the exempt purpose by supporting children to take dance lessons through those organizations, sharing the mission statement of the organization with other interested parties, and providing opportunities to assist children who do not meet the eligibility or audition requirements of existing organizations by referring children between programs.
Donations will be made solely at the discretion of the Right 2 Rhythm board of directors and will not be conducted under any specific contract or agreement engaging Right 2 Rhythm to fundraise on behalf of another organization. Determination of scholarships and grants awarded will depend on funds available, number of applications submitted, and financial need. Grants and scholarships require an application and proposal, which specifies the responsibilities of Right 2 Rhythm and those of the grantee, obligates the grantee to use the funds only for the purposes for which the grant or scholarship was made, provides for periodic written reports concerning the use of funds, requires a final written report and an accounting of how funds were used, and acknowledges Right 2 Rhythm's authority to withhold and/or recover funds in case such funds are, or appear to be, misused.
